(HUG) Scheme Funding

The Home Upgrade Grant (HUG2) is a new government grant scheme that funds energy-saving upgrades for eligible residents with off-gas heating systems.

Landlords who have 4 or fewer properties will be able to apply if their tenants meet the eligibility criteria. Landlords that are registered charities operating in the private rental sector may be exempt from the 4 property cap. This will be agreed before work begins.

Who is eligible for HUG scheme?

  • Homeowners or Private Tenants
  • You live in a home not heated by mains gas (including oil, coal, LPG or only electric heating)
  • EPC rating of D, E, F, or G – this is based on your home Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
  • Household annual not exceeding £36,000, with potential exceptions in certain postcode areas.

CUSTOMER JOURNEY

01. APPLICATION

Fill out the form and send it to us. We’ll check to see if you qualify and how we can help.

02. ASSESSMENT

If we can help, we’ll arrange an assessment of your property and we’ll let you know the outcome.

03. HOME ASSESSMENT REPORT

We’ll send you an email or letter informing you of the measures you can get for your property.

04. SUITABILITY & AGREEMENT

A technical survey will then be completed for the suggested measures, and a home owner agreement provided to highlight the measures. The funding provider then checks all is in place.

05. INSTALLATION

The work is the carried out by our own qualified engineers to high standards, but may also be checked independantly to make sure our quality standards are maintained.

06. COMPLETION OF WORK

All relevant paperwork (certifications, warranties, and manuals) will be provided. This will also include a satisfaction survey to make sure you’re happy with the work.

07. CONTINUED JOURNEY
