This funding will help local authorities and social housing providers roll out essential improvements like insulation, double glazing, solar panels, and heat pumps, making homes more energy-efficient and cutting down on high energy costs. For many low-income households and social tenants, this could mean saving hundreds of pounds a year on bills—not to mention the benefits of warmer, healthier living spaces.

The plan also aligns with other government efforts, including the expanded Warm Home Discount and new landlord energy efficiency requirements. Plus, it’s set to create new jobs in the growing green energy sector—a win for both households and the economy.
